Meet your CSS Retirement and Pension Advisory Team

Helping you through your retirement journey

Your CSS Advisory team - Rhonda Rodh, Marilyn Shipley, Jessica Kreutzer, Shontelle Flaman, Maureen Richards and Rachelle Camsell (left to right) - they are here to help you every step of the way.

When you contact the CSS Pension Plan, you will likely speak to one of our Retirement and Pension Advisors, Associates or Specialists who are often your first point of contact. They will answer any questions you have regarding your pension plan or retirement options, for example:

  • Have I saved enough for retirement?

  • Can you explain what my retirement income options are?

  • Can you guide me to determine how my funds should be invested leading up to retirement or in retirement?

The Advisors can also prepare a customized retirement plan for you which includes all your sources of retirement income including your funds in the Plan, RRSPs, TFSAs, CPP and OAS, along with your spouse's sources of retirement income. The Associates support the Advisors and you as you navigate your pension and retirement journey. They do not receive a commission, so you can be confident they are helping you make decisions that are truly in your best interest.

If you are an employer member of CSS, you may have questions about how to support and improve the financial wellness and retirement security of your employees (our CSS members). Our Advisory team is also here for helping employer’s with any pension and retirement wellness questions.

"If there is one thing our Advisory team all have in common, it is that they genuinely enjoy helping our employer and employee members," says Tami Dove, Director, Member Experience.

We encourage you to contact CSS and speak to our Advisory team regarding your retirement and pension needs. Arrange a time to meet over the phone, virtually or set up an in-person meeting.

Your CSS Advisory Team on a more personal level

Rhonda Rodh, Advisor, CFP®

Rhonda Rodh has been with CSS for 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge about the Plan.

Rhonda is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and an avid learner – she continues to progress her career by taking relevant finance, accounting and pension-related courses.

Whether she is answering member inquiries or discussing your retirement options with respect to your funds in the Plan, both during your working years and in retirement, Rhonda says her job is both exciting and challenging.

"I absolutely love it. I love working with the members and meeting the members during our Retirement Income Options (RIO) workshops and other information sessions," she says. "There are so many different situations, so every day is unique and interesting."

Rhonda understands it can be overwhelming to make decisions about retirement, so she gets excited when members reach out who are nearing retirement to help them realize they are not alone when it comes to making decisions.

In her spare time, Rhonda loves to read and is a frequent visitor to the Saskatoon Public Library. She also enjoys spending time with family and travelling.

Marilyn Shipley, Advisor, PFP®

Marilyn Shipley joined the CSS team in 2020. She is a Personal Financial Planner® armed with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. She has attained a wealth of knowledge to help you through your retirement journey. To add to her resume, she completed the Canadian Pension Certificate Program in 2022.

"As an Advisor, I work with people of all ages and assist them with any financial questions. Everyone has their own story and journey," she said.

With her enthusiasm, patience and understanding, when you speak with Marilyn she will make you feel at ease as you transition into retirement.

She says, "I have a passion for our members to ensure they understand their pension options and helping them make this important financial decision."

In her spare time, Marilyn is a fitness instructor at a local fitness centre in Saskatoon. She enjoys canoeing with her husband, gardening, sewing, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.

Jessica Kreutzer, Advisor, CFP®

Jessica Kreutzer joined the CSS Advisory team in 2022. She is not new to the pension industry - in fact, she has been working directly with members in the pension industry for more than 10 years and has spent close to 20 years in the financial industry.

Jessica is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and attained a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina. She also completed her Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC), which provides her a strong knowledge in registered pension plans, investments and government legislation among other pension-specific topics. Jessica is working towards her Advanced Certificate in 3H Financial Planning™ from the FP Canada Institute™.

"I am excited to work for a great pension plan like CSS and help members directly," Jessica said. "Retirement can be scary, and what I like most about my job is that often times I am able to help you feel less unsure as you plan your retirement."

With a strong knowledge of retirement planning and pension knowledge, Jessica will be able to help you understand the Plan and help you feel comfortable in making decisions that are right for you.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, home renovations and gardening.

Shontelle.PNGShontelle Flaman, Advisor, CFP®

Shontelle Flaman has been with CSS since 2022 – she works remotely from her home in Whitewood, SK. She is our newest CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, attaining her CFP certification in 2022.

“Financial planning has always been a favorite part of my job,” she said.

Shontelle is working towards her Advanced Certificate in 3H Financial Planning™ from the FP Canada Institute™.

Prior to joining CSS, she worked within the credit union system for 18 years.

“Working for a co-operative prior to coming to CSS taught me the values of a co-operative, like member-first service, transparency, integrity and accountability,” she said. “A cooperative is learning to work in the best interest in the member and not ourselves and give them a wholesome experience with all the options and honest advice.

“CSS is a friendly environment. I love working from home and enjoy being in contact with our members every day,” she added.

When she is not working, Shontelle enjoys listening to music, watching movies, game nights with her kids and friends, and keeping busy with her two dogs and two cats.

Maureen Richards, Retirement and Pension Associate

Maureen Richards joined the CSS Advisory team in 2021 as the first Retirement and Pension Associate. She has spent her entire career within the financial industry, working on the investment side and then in pensions for many years.

Maureen is a Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Candidate, she has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has completed courses in personal finance, investing, financial planning, human resources, benefits and pensions. She is currently working towards obtaining her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® professional designation.

"I would describe myself as a life-long learner. I embrace all opportunities for learning and growth, striving to build relationships with members and enjoy teaching others," Maureen says.

She has a true passion for helping members and colleagues find success in their life journeys. She is dedicated to making your experience at CSS a positive one and is a great addition to the CSS team.

In her spare time, Maureen can be found at the hockey rink with her two children. She also enjoys reading, baking, yard work and spending time at the lake with her extended family.

Rachelle-Circle-Frame.pngRachelle Camsell, Employer Relationship Associate

Rachelle Camsell started working for CSS in 2020. Her role as Employer Relationship Associate was designed to engage and build relationships with our CSS prospective and current employers, with the goal of providing them support and education.

For the past several years, Rachelle has been directly working with CSS employers which has helped her better understand their role and the challenges they face. She hopes to relieve some of those challenges and provide more opportunities to assist them in their role to support their employees.

After completing her Business Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Rachelle wanted to continue her education and is currently working towards her HR diploma from there as well. She has also taken her PPAC 1 and 2 from Humber College.

“I love the team I get to be a part of every day,” she said. “I love learning new things, and I enjoy helping and working with our employers.”

Away from work, Rachelle and her family love to spend time at their cabin.
