Doing our part toward truth and reconciliation

At the CSS Pension Plan, we are committed to finding meaningful ways to work toward reconciliation and cultivate a culture of inclusiveness and respect in which our community can grow.

As part of this commitment, we will observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. We encourage all staff and members of the CSS Pension Plan to show their support toward promoting a culture of healing and take time to reflect on the impacts of residential schools in Canada.

Our office will remain open on this day, and our staff will wear orange in honour of the Indigenous children who survived the residential school system - and those who did not.

This day is also a time to celebrate the heritage, history and culture of Indigenous peoples, many who have had a profound impact on the growth and expansion of the co-operative movement across Canada from coast to coast to coast.

As a co-operative organization, we believe in promoting the ethical values of social-responsibility, equality and caring for others. We hope our CSS community can come together in the spirit of reconciliation and co-operation to advance this mission and create a brighter future for Indigenous people across Canada.

Our office will remain open on September 30; however, the main building doors will be locked. If you are planning to visit the CSS Pension Plan office on September 30, please call (306) 477-8500 when you arrive and we will arrange for someone to come down and let you into the building.
