Canada Post service disruption

As a result of Canada Post service disruptions in certain locations, mail to and from the CSS Pension Plan may be delayed.

If you receive pension payments by mail

If you receive your monthly pension or Variable Benefit payment via mail, you have the option to have your payment directly deposited into your bank account. Direct deposit is a secure and convenient way to receive your pension payment.

To sign up for direct deposit, please email us a copy of a void cheque, or contact your financial institution and ask them to forward your banking information to us.

If you are applying for retirement

If you’ve recently requested projections or an application package, please contact us if you do not receive them and we will email them to you. If you have recently mailed application forms back to us and are concerned that they may not be delivered on time, please contact us and we will scan or email you replacement forms that can be completed and returned to us by fax or email pending receipt of the originals.

If you applied for a transfer or repayment

The Plan will process repayments and transfer requests upon receipt of emailed or faxed documents. If you or your advisor have already mailed forms and they do not arrive, please provide scanned or faxed copies.

Once all required forms are received, you have the option of delaying your request until mail service resumes or proceeding and using a courier to deliver your funds. To advise of your preference, either you or your advisor should please contact us.
